Research Projects

Throughout my undergraduate studies, I have had the pleasure of working on multiple research projects: from the historic Hanlon neighborhood to the home of Carl and Vashti Murphy. Enjoy my work!

The Hanlon Neighborhood

Spring 2021 Project in Partnership with SGJC Faculty at Morgan State University

Researched the history and development of Baltimore’s Hanlon-Longwood neighborhood (2005–2015) for an SGJC faculty project. Analyzed newspaper archives, broadcast reports, and public records to document trends in crime, housing, and community recovery following the Freddie Gray unrest. Discovered key local figures through property records and highlighted shifts in neighborhood identity. Gained skills in archival research, source analysis, and project time management.
