A Bit About Me

I went to Elizabeth Seton High School from 2015-2019, where I was actively involved with the step team serving as both co-captain (2017-18) and captain (2018-19), gospel choir (secretary 2017-18), onyx club, Seton chorale, honors concert choir, liturgical choir, the Learning Engineering and Design (LEAD) program, ballet/modern and jazz/hip-hop dance ensembles, and community service opportunities with SHARE Food Network, So Others Might Eat (Sandwiches for S.O.M.E.), and Seabury Age-in-Place, on top of being a Big Sister-Little Sister mentor and Freshman Retreat Team leader. I also had the opportunity to travel to Charleston, SC during March 2018 with the honors concert choir and Italy during April 2018 with the Gospel Choir to sing at the Vatican for Pope Francis, as well as attend the Encounter #31 retreat (outside of regular class retreats). Outside of my Seton activities, I was actively involved in my church. I sang in the Young Voices of Trinity youth choir from the age of 2 to 19, participated in the youth dance ministry which I later revamped and renamed to the Angels of Praise Youth Dance Ministry and Troupe, and youth council where I held the positions of secretary, sergeant-at-arms, vice president, and president. I also had the opportunity to attend the Truthville Youth conferences for three years in a row (2016 in DC, 2017 in Atlanta, and 2018 in Philadelphia).

After my time at Seton, I went on to pursue a major in multimedia journalism and a minor in vocal music studies at Morgan State University. Despite spending a year and a half in online classes, I managed to make the most of my college journey. I was an active student leader holding many leadership positions in student organizations, including: being a 4-year member of the Morgan State University Choir (co-section leader for the Soprano 2's), social media chair for MSUABJ and TLT Blog Show, secretary for the Esports club, founder and president of the Students in Appreciation of Animation & Film, public relations officer for Students Open to Unique Love (SOUL) and the Black Anime Nerd Association (BANA), and Miss Gold for the Pi Eta chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America. In addition, I am a proud Fall 2021 initiate of the Always Divine Alpha Delta chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and served as the song committee chair for the Fall 2023 semester. I was also an active member of the National Council of Negro Women- Morgan State University section, Creators of MSU, and National Pan-Hellenic Council- Morgan State University Section. I also dabbled in different organizations such as the Student Government Association (Class of 2023 Board), Absolutely Beautiful and Confident Modeling Organization, THREAD Mentoring, the MSU Spokesman, Bear TV, the Haus of Diamonds for Fashion at Morgan's (F.A.M.) "Storm Like A Model" (SLAM), and Team Menace for the Alpha Iota chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated's "Shimmy Like A Nupe" (SLAN) competition.

During my undergraduate career, I had the opportunity to work a couple of internships such as a digital news internship with CWall Sports & Entertainment, a radio internship with WEAA 88.9 FM, and the opportunity to be a smash bros. tournament shoutcaster with B U Gamerz in collaboration with the MEAC Esports division for their 2023 CIAA Esports tournament. I graduated from Morgan State University in December 2023 with my bachelor's degree and am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Media & Strategic Communications at the George Washington University. Since setting out on my journey at George Washington University, I started work as a graduate teaching assistant and represent the School of Media & Public Affairs as a graduate program ambassador. In Fall 2024, I was initiated into the Baltimore Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity, Incorporated as a patronness member.

Outside of my academic endeavors, I enjoy making content surrounding the anime and gaming communities. I mainly enjoy making content for YouTube and streaming on Twitch during the weekends, but I am no stranger to creating content for other platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, and BlueSky. I also hold positions as an ambassador with brands such as Dormify, Abella Eyewear, SHEIN, Walmart, and Ana Luisa due to my activity on my socials, and I have even managed to get an Amazon Creator Storefront. I hope to continue with my content creation goals along with my other passions to reach more people and possibly make them smile through my content. I am also the founder of Becca Anne TV, which is home to the Pretty Girl Gamer Squad online community, Pretty Girl Gamer News, and the Socially Awkward blog and podcast. Additionally, I am also the CEO of Creations By Becca Anne, which is a customization business specializing in graduation stoles, grad caps, T-Shirts, and tote bags.

I am also a pageant queen. I previously held the local title of Miss Capitol Heights USA 2023 and went unplaced at the 2023 Miss Maryland USA pageant in Bethesda, MD, and the title of Miss Maryland Collegiate USA 2024, where I won the Media Correspondent (Miss Media Host) competition and scholarship at the 2024 Miss Collegiate USA pageant in Greenville, SC. I currently serve as Miss District of Columbia Collegiate USA 2025 and will be competing in the 2025 Miss Collegiate USA pageant in Washington, DC.
